2008 Toyota Yaris Liftback S

Car buyers in search of a sporty, fuel efficient, safe and high performing vehicle all should know about the new 2008 Toyota Yaris. It comes in two distinct body styles; the Liftback and the Sedan. The main difference between the two is the Liftbacks 3-door capacity and the Sedans 5-door style. I opted for the Liftback S model—the S trim gives the vehicle standard features a little more “oomph”.
The specifications on this model are quite impressive. All models of the Yaris come standard with a 1.5-liter DOHC 16-valve VVT-I 4-cylinder engine. This nets the car 106 hp at 6000 rpm; pretty nice for such an elegant little machine. Also on the new Yaris, you are given a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive; a 4-speed electronically controlled automatic overdrive is available to those who aren’t comfortable with manual transmission. Both give this vehicle a surprising amount of power and acceleration for zipping along the countryside—although the acceleration may be from the cars conveniently petite proportions. The vehicle’s small dimensions also net you the luxury of great gas mileage, with an estimated 35 mpg highway!
Just because the Yaris is small doesn’t mean it isn’t safe. The models come standard with driver front airbag and front passenger airbag with the modern airbag deployment system seen in most new car models. Other safety options and features for the 2008 Yaris include a 4-wheel anti-lock brake system, side-impact door beams, an energy-absorbing steering column and various interior monitors so you can keep your car in check. The 2008 Yaris Liftback S model also comes with a well-situated folding rear bench seat, excellent storage space and of course Liftback storage cover. As you can see this vehicle is a stylish little road warrior with some great features to boot.
