The latest fun marketing poly…I mean website for the Toyota 4Runner maps off-road courses to test your SUV state-to-state. Toyota’s Trail Tracker is a new micro-site dedicated to uploading pictures, videos and maps from some of the more intense off-roading tracks in North America. ‘Trail Tracker is your source for off-road trails and trips’ as the site proclaims.

Currently there are only a handful of states features on the site (Including Vermont and New Jersey; yes there is land left in Jersey that hasn’t been sold to developers). Toyota’s site also features ratings – allowing you to judge what type of track experience you will witness, or at least help figure out how f-ed up the bottom of your 4Runner will get.

Our favorite feature is the Google-type interactive map, which showcases a satellite view of any selected track and a point-by-point course overview. You can download these maps to your GPS and read stories of previous racer’s experiences – “This is an absolutely intense trail containing multiple obstacles. This trail has a bit of everything; off camber, ruts, and steep hill climb and steep descents. On one of the steep descents you have to drop over a large boulder ledge that will test your skid plates.” We hope to see more courses added to this cool little site as months progress.
