The Japanese auto make, which has come across several safety hurtles as of late, is putting a halt to the sale of 8 separate cars. Initial reports indicated Toyota made the decision on their own, based on “the unintended acceleration caused by either loose floor mats or sticky accelerator pedals.” However, now it’s being alleged that Toyota did not voluntary recall these cars, the NHTSA is requiring them to.

The vehicles in question are:

2009-2010 RAV4,
2009-2010 Corolla
2009-2010 Matrix
2005-2010 Avalon
Certain 2007-2010 Camry
2010 Highlander
2007-2010 Tundra
2008-2010 Sequoia

Worse than this, several assembly lines in charge of producing said autos will also take a pause, while this Toyota-Fire-Starter is looked into:
